Outstanding work for disadvantage pupils
Special Commendation from the Secretary of State for Education
Several of our Trust schools have received formal commendation from the Rt Hon Bridget Phillipson, Secretary of State for Education, in recognition of their strong attainment outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.
The Secretary of State has written directly to the headteachers of the following schools:
- Holy Family Catholic Primary School
- Our Lady of Peace Catholic Primary and Nursery School
- St Edward’s Catholic Junior School
- St Joseph’s Catholic High School
- St Margaret of Scotland Catholic Primary School
- St Michael’s Catholic School
In her letter, she acknowledges the significant achievements these schools have made in supporting disadvantaged pupils to achieve strong academic outcomes. She also encourages them to share the effective practices, helping to support school improvement across the wider system.
This recognition highlights the dedication, expertise, and commitment of staff across these schools in ensuring that every child—regardless of background—can thrive.
